This 1.75-hour course describes the implementation of master pages, CSS, client-side scripts, and client-side services into ASP.NET web applications. Master pages combined with the concepts of Themes, Skins, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) allow you to easily structure and consistently apply a design to your web application. Code executed on the server side can have a performance overhead when posting back simple control interactions, such as a selection in a list or a button click to update one or more values displayed. When performance is of the essence, you can use client-side code or script to make your web application appear much more responsive, and to alleviate the load on the web server. This course is intended for professional web developers who use Microsoft Visual Studio in a team-based, medium-to-large size development environment.

Objective:

In this course, you will apply master pages and CSS, and develop client-side scripts and services for inclusion in a web application..
